Fall Arrives in San Marco

Stopped by San Marco for coffee on the way to the art supply store and what did I see? The first signs of Fall. Beautiful red and gold leaves gracefully letting go of a long year and decorating the bricks below.  I also loved seeing the paper lanterns in these trees. Don't you just want to walk under them at twilight? With a pumpkin latte maybe? I didn't have time for adventure, but this part of the city is a great place to explore, so I'll try to get back soon. I'm very curious about this lion. Not far from this spot there are more lions gathered around a fountain, I've seen them before, but now I think something's up with the symbolism. I'll do some research and post more soon.
